Contract rent

Contract rent is the rent agreed upon regardless of any furnishings, utilities, or services that may be include "Renter-occupied units" for which no cash rent was paid we excluded from the computation of the median. In rural territory rent data exclude rent for farm units.

In the 1950 tract report, contract rent was not published separately for renter-occupied units (except for nonwhite rented occupied units) but was shown in combination with vacant unit available for rent.
